Charles Bonnet Awareness
As it will be Charles Bonnet Awareness Week, we feel it is important that people experiencing sight loss are made aware of Charles Bonnet Syndrome (visual hallucinations experienced by some people with recent loss of sight). Come along and find out more about it, learn some tips to help you if you experience visual hallucinations.
It is important to know that although Charles Bonnet Syndrome hallucinations can range from small patterns and colours to images of people, nature and or events, they are only ever visual and do not involve sounds, hearing things or any other physical sensation. If you are at all concerned about what you or a loved one are experiencing, you should visit your GP and mention it at your next eye clinic appointment.
