Sculptors and artists of Vision Support Harrogate District are delighted to invite you to their upcoming Exhibition ‘Art Unbound’, Tuesday 21st November 2023 – Sunday 26th November 2023, 10am – 3pm.

Our Sculptors create private commissions, as well as exhibiting and selling their work in prestigious shows such as ‘The Great North Art Show’ in Ripon Cathedral and ‘Sculpture Show North’ in the Corn Exchange Leeds. Our Sculptors were delighted to receive an award, presented by The Great North Art Show, for ‘Highly Commended Body of Work’. Our exhibition artist has been painting since he was a child, you will be blown away by the intricacy of his paintings.

Vision Support is a local independent charity. We understand the importance of encouraging our visually impaired members to develop their talents and skills, even if that means they use different materials and adapted techniques due to their sight loss. This exhibition provides the opportunity to showcase the excellent work that they have been producing and to promote them as artists.

The Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity are holding a Christmas market and we have hired a stall to sell our lovely Christmas gifts. Many of you will know that Vision Support Harrogate District has been providing the Eye Clinic with an Eye Clinic Liaison Officer for the past 26 years. Our charity pays for this service in order to offer emotional and practical support to those diagnosed with a serious eye condition and are losing their sight. It is fitting that we should have a stall at the event, so we do hope that you will come along and support both us and the hospital.

Lots of lovely handmade crafts and cakes to buy for yourself or to give as gifts to family and friends. In fact, why not bring your famil and friends with you. Delicious homemade soup will be served as well as tea and coffee. Come along and support us so that we can continue our vital services and activities.

We are very excited to have been given the opportunity to host a Market Stall at the Harrogate Christmas Market in the town centre. Please do pop along and support us, we will be selling lovely homemade Christmas gifts and selling raffle tickets for our SPECTACULAR CHRISTMAS PRIZE DRAW!

Thank you to all the volunteers at St John’s, Bilton for hosting such a brilliant craft and coffee morning for us. It was very well attended and the team at Vision Support had a great time. Your continued support is very much appreciated and all funds raised are gratefully received.

Our amazing member and telephone befriender Helen and her family and our fabulous staff member Sue Campagna took on the mighty Nidderdale Walk this year, and I’m pleased to announce that they all defeated it! A huge thank you to them all for their efforts and for raising such a large amount of money!

Thank you to Les from the Scottish Whisky Makers Association for hosting a fabulous evening of whisky tasting. A fabulous 3 course meal cooked by Tanya & Kim complimented the evening! Smoked trout pate, Haggis with Tatties & Neeps, finished off with a Lemon Cheesecake. Thank you to our Steve for organising Les to come and visit us again.

Another stall selling all our lovely hand made items. One in celebration of our King’s coronation, and another just because. It was wonderful to celebrate our Kings coronation with our community.

Really excited to be showcasing some of our new sculptures at HHCC’s Exclusive Art Exhibition alongside lots of other talented artists. We have had a sell out evening, thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.

A pleasure to meet everyone @VisionHarrogate. They hold clubs such as pottery, line dancing & soup club to name a few! We were delighted to stock up their cupoards with plenty of soup making ingredients. A great big thank you to Verity Frearsons for your generous donation.

Another successful year for our sculptures at the Great North Art Show. Highlighting the amazing artistic skills of our members, thank you to our pottery tutor Kay Latto, for her dedication to her students. Well done to everyone involved. A big thank you to our sponsors Cowen & Morgan.

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers at St Paul’s Church for hosting such a fabulous coffee morning and craft fair. We were delighted to see so many of yours and our supporters joining us and having such a lovely time, chatting and looking at all the wonderful crafts our members have made. Thank you for your continued support.

@VisionHarrogate welcomed members and thier families to their Spring Fair recently. The fair featured tombola, raffle and wonderful crafts made by members. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed.

Two days of enjoying home-made soup and goodies for lunch in aid of our Charity of the Year @Vision Harrogate Bon appetit!
